Pretty Great – Canon Sx120 Digital Camera Critique
I am not going to be going on an amazing vacation and need amazing, stellar pictures that sell them self. Come to find out, I am pleased. I found out some water drops got inside even it was properly sealed. Also I have to admit the ocean was a kind of rough that day.
The camera leaked.
I bought this camera in preparation for a cruise to the Caribbean. It was great to have a waterproof camera to take through rainforests, waterfalls, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming with turtles, etc. The instructions provided with the camera, as well as the camera itself, are targeted toward PC users. There are no instructions with the camera, and none I can find so far online, for Mac users.
The Polaroid takes a much better photo even though it may be the cheapest camera on the market. Do yourself a favor and buy another product. Admittedly, I have not tried this one underwater even though I’ve had it for a year now, but I do take it with me to concerts, friends’ sporting events, etc. Sometimes I get amazing photos, but other times they come out blurry (especially in low light).
It is very easy and has worked every time for me. There is a beauty mode, several underwater mode, pets mode, etc. Also, the pictures are great quality and crisp. I use it a lot on cars, and the detail is great. Shop around and you can get great prices! Took this camera on a trip to the Caribbean and was very happy with product until last day of trip when it stopped working on us after being in only 3 feet of water-seriously this is supposed to. Make sure you have the right scene set for iAuto, you don’t serious expect landscape mode to take a good family picture do you? I posted some pictures in different modes so you can get of sense of some the cameras features and capabilities. This camera worked only once half through my Maui vacation. Took some great pictures and videos in the water then suddenly would not turn on after I shoot some pictures in the water.
Far away pictures looked soft and lacked any detail. Now granted this water park was indoors but it was fairly well lit so that’s not an acceptable excuse.
It seems it isn’t really water resistant. Once I got it back I used it another two times and had to send it back in for the same reason. This camera definitely has great optical quality. It’s a very thin camera and the user interface is very easy to use and smart.
The SEVEN items that I listed above that are reasons enough that I would not recommend the camera to anyone. free landscape design program.
