The collaboration between Sony and Ericsson corporations began in October 2001 and represented the most important junction on the cell phone market. The two companies results could be a lot better for both parties if they combined Sony’s experience in electronics with Ericsson’s history in communications. Thus, the Sony Ericsson mobile phones appeared as the result of this union, proving that the business decision for the merger was one of the happiest possible.

The company was propelled way ahead of its competitors thanks to the phones in the cyber-shot and the Walkman series.
