How I Continue To Keep Myself Secure At Night
As much as I enjoy my job as a bartender, I am not able to head home until the wee hours, not to mention that alcohol could make some clients quite unruly. The newly hired club manager, a female, gave out pepper sprays recently to serve as self-defense tools for us fellow lady employees.
The gift was really timely. My roommate and I had been intending to order pepper spray for our safety after she had learned about it from a buddy and thought that we should give it a try.
While non-lethal, self-defense sprays could incapacitate someone temporarily by causing a painful burning feeling whenever sprayed to the skin and eyes. Given that the effects last for a number of minutes only, it offers one just enough time to run from danger and ask for help.

After that, I have never left the house without the defense spray in my bag. In fact, I purchased several more to give my mother, siblings and female cousins when I visited my birth town recently.
I have become a lot more vigilant about personal safety. My colleagues and I now go back home in groups to ensure that our fear of walking along the streets at night will be lessened. Our large number might be more than enough to keep the criminals away from us whenever we are out.
Furthermore, I have made a decision to resell pepper sprays as an extra source of income. It was fortunate that I found a place where I can purchase pepper spray on the internet while being able to get huge discounts.
