They keep items dry if there is a leak or a flood that the music may be exposed to. Also be sure to store the boxes in a place that is not exposed to extreme heat or cold. If the CDs are stored in the attic or garage check to make sure they are safeguarded for storage. The most important thing is to make sure this music is safe in case something unexpected occurs.
