Is Navman a Reliable Brand of GPS Navigators?
When you shop for GPS devices for your car, you might find a few brands and soon become clueless regarding which brand to get. This is particularly hard when you are shopping for a product that offers affordability and portability. The range of models available in your local shopping center may not be very comprehensive, which might induce you to shop on the internet and hope to find more options. Navman F15
The Navman F15 seems to be the single Navman GPS unit you’ll find for sale in the US and, as one would imagine, US maps including Puerto Rico are included. While the Navman F15 is not quite a widescreen GPS unit, the 3.5” touch screen along with its uncomplicated user interface combine to make it a very easy to use gadget overall. Setting up the device will be less complicated than most other GPS units, which usually call for some fiddling just for the device to work the way you want it to. Both of these characteristics clearly define the F15 as a great device for consumers to get started with GPS navigation while driving.
Unfortunately, the navigation abilities of the device may disappoint some customers because it isn’t as accurate as many other US-based GPS devices on the market. There might be a few situations in which you begin to go around in circles, but there are also even more stories of the Navman working just fine, so it will likely be influenced by the area you’re traveling in. Some points of interest probably include some popular restaurants and hotels, but the amount of POI’s provided with Navman’s software are nowhere near the amount of data that US-based GPS manufacturers incude. The abbreviated battery life will probably be a setback too, but can be expected seeing as this specific GPS model doesn’t cost that much. Setting aside the shortcomings, the Navman GPS is still worth the money due to its simple user interface and menus and its ease in calculating the fastest route and finding addresses.
Navman S35
The S35 provides the same 3.5 inch screen as does the F15, and the frame looks pretty fashionable and it remains nicely portable. This is an Australian exclusive, having in excess of 500,000 points of interest within the country and has the text-to-speech capability which properly pronounces street names using an Australian accent. This model also has a mileage expense reporter that is great for customers who would like to manage gasoline expenditures more conveniently. Navman S45
The Navman S45 provides the same kinds of applications and styling as the S35, but the screen is larger; measuring 4.3 inches. Despite the widescreen addition, the model appears fairly portable.
Navman GPS devices are restricted in their range of variety, but they all strive to be suitably portable and reliable. They met their expectations in maintaining an attractive and portable shape, but they could make some upgrades on the accuracy side.
