Looking At All the Different Nintendo DS models And Purchasing Tips
Over half a decade ago, Nintendo revolutionized the portable gaming market by introducing the DS. Celebrated as a massively popular device, the DS offered a leading edge design, addictive titles and is responsible for introducing gaming to a wider market. Since that time, Nintendo have produced a number of updates and new models, but which of these different Nintendo DS models is good for buyers?
Despite being the oldest and most outdated model, the original DS is still popular. New models are not sold in shops, but many are sold for small prices online, which adds to their popularity. The original model is also fitted to play the earliest versions of games which are not accessible to the successor models. If users can get past the size and weight, this model is superb for those on the cheap, the most affordable of the different Nintendo DS models.
Next up, the DS Lite didn’t offer a great deviation from the functions of the original, but as the moniker suggests it reduced the size and weight impressively. Interestingly, the DS Lite also offers the best battery time of all the different Nintendo DS models, even judged against the newer ones. The DS Lite is still generally popular for those that like less expensive consoles and are not bothered about the extra features of the DSi.
Nintendo DSi produced the most notable improvement to the features. Throwing in heaps of cool new multimedia functions,including game downloads and dual cameras. Also, all the functions of the first DS were built upon, with the screen and sound being augmented. The DSi is the most technically impressive of the different Nintendo DS models, and now the most well liked.
And with the DSi XL coming soon, there’s plenty of choice when it comes to it. The earlier incarnations offer less features and sheen, but are cost effective and still offer great gaming. However, if you are after multimedia capabilities and increased bang for your buck, the newer models are a sound investment. One point is clear though, all the different Nintendo DS models offer a brilliant gaming experience!
