Wall Mount Speakers
Many homes and offices have wall mount speakers with a high space flexibility and a very good integration in the background. Conventional floor speakers occupy too much room and their sound can be distorted because of the various objects close by. Wall mount surround speakers are not that exposed to these inconveniences because there is hardly any movement in the cones. Plus, the surround sound quality is good and no filters are required. Yet, it doesn’t hurt to pay attention to some technical details.
Fist of all, the wall mount speakers and the amplifier should have a similar power. Always take into consideration the power rating of the amplifier when shopping for wall mount speakers. As for the size of the speakers, you need to choose those devices that match the space where you want them installed. And keep in mind that the speakers size is irrelevant for the sound quality. With most products, the mounted device comes with several additional smaller speakers used for midrange and high sound frequencies.
The position or direction of the wall mount speakers can be adjusted either during the installation process or afterwards. Moreover, you thus have the possibility to position the wall mount speakers in very hardly accessible places such as close to the ceiling or in corners at angles that could never be possible with other designs. A very good surround sound can be achieved for home theaters with such ceiling and wall mount speakers. There are some installation difficulties when you don’t place the speakers into already existent holes.
Make sure that there are no support beams inside the wall before cutting it open. Also consider the wiring carefully particularly when you aim at multi-room systems. The size of the speaker and the hole you make should be well matched, and you can even consider hiring a professional to take care of the installation process. If you go for the do-it-yourself solution, you will need a drill, a keyhole saw, a head screwdriver, some magnetic chain and electrical tape. Remember to purchase the speaker mounts too. Good luck!
